Colorized B&W Portrait | Aaron Larue

Our friend Aaron had the idea to take a black and white film portrait of himself and colorize it. So on a hot Sunday afternoon in the summer, we hung out with a few rolls of Tmax400 and a plethora of film cameras.

A few instants were shot, too. Not pictured here, however.

Here are just a few of my favorites.

#DDIYHOUSE - MAMIYA RB67 + FP100C

The white walls that Daniel put up make the entire property really, really bright. Perfect for FP-100C ;)

Also, shooting pack film with the Mamiya RB67 is so, so satisfying. *ker-CHUNK* goes the shutter.

This was from a while back, but finally got around to getting some scans back and going through them. Point Lobos - shot with Mamiya RB67. I cannot for the life of me remember what film I used.

Medium Format Portraits with the Mamiya RB67

Lately I've been wanting a shoot a lot more with film. Specifically, I want to shoot more portraits with my Mamiya RB67. I am in love with the look it has. I've already ordered myself some more film, a prism finder, and a 180mm lens for the RB67. Can't wait to shoot more with it. If only developing and scanning didn't cost so much! :\

More medium format

So here's the thing. I'm not buying any color film until I finish shooting off the remaining couple of black and white rolls and get them developed and scanned. I can't wait to shoot in color though! :P I'm not usually one to shoot in broad daylight anyway, so I'm itching to buy some film speeds of at least 400. The indoor shot self portrait is me trying to burn through film and betting I can hold the camera still enough.

First Medium Format Exposures

Back in May Tyler got me a Mamiya RB67 medium format camera and some expired black and white film that came with it. I've gone through a few rolls, but it took forever to get them developed (we're lazy!). Here's a few scans that came with our first couple rolls before we replaced the light seals.

Hopefully we get our other three rolls back soon! Then I gotta get my hands on some color film :)

A Graduation Gift from Tyler

Tyler bought me a Mamiya RB67 as my graduation present last week! Today we just replaced the light seals (by ourselves!), so hopefully we'll start looking into getting our film developed and scanned. I can't wait! :) I've always loved the quality and look of medium format.
